Job Description

The Payroll Manager role involves;

  • Develop and update payroll procedures
  • Applying new starters and making leavers
  • Payment of overtime, casual hours, holidays, commissions, etc
  • Deal with all pay enquiries and adjustments
  • Deal efficiently with HMRC correspondence, including tax code amendments
  • Calculation of statutory payments, such as, SSP, SMP, SPP
  • Manage Real Time Information RTI
  • Manage pension schemes and contributions to providers
  • Preparations of monthly journals and control account reconciliations
  • Payment of PAYE and NI on time
  • Liaise with HR, site general managers, administrators and department heads
  • Maintenance of staff records and archiving
  • Perform system updates
  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc reports
  • Complete all annual HMRC payroll reporting requirements including P35, P60 and P11D returns.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Manager role will;

  • Be looking for a Payroll position where they can develop and update payroll procedures
  • Have worked in a similar role previously, looking after all aspects of Payroll
  • Live locally, ideally within 30 minute commute of Walton on Thames.
  • Have strong Excel and great attention to detail
