Job Description

The role will entail but won't be exclusive to:

Processing into the payroll system information related to new employees and changes to existing employees;

Review and process of allowances, bonus payments, pension contributions, overtime, statutory maternity pay, childcare vouchers, cycle to work and expense claims

Year end processing including P11D

Ensure all payments made to employees and third parties are accurate and on time

Ensure all payroll transactions comply with relevant statutory legislation

Calculation and submission of all returns to HMRC

Calculation of PAYE settlement agreement liabilities and monitoring of all expenditure under the PSA scheme

Document any changes in PAYE / NIC rules and procedures in the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) folder

Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures, in conjunction with HR&D

Develop and maintain the Payroll system to ensure the provision of a first class payroll service

Liaise with the HR&OD Business Partner to ensure any anomalies are resolved as required

Pension administration for CARE scheme

Preparation of accounting journal for monthly payroll processing
