About Our Client

Our client who operate a multiple site accountancy practice are currently looking to add to their team due to unprecedented levels of growth.

Job Description

As a Payroll Assistant/Bookkeeper, your main job role is going to be to support clients through the effective and accurate delivery of a Payroll service delivered by the companies Payroll Bureau which they provide on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis to a number of clients in the area.

You will be used to be running payroll for up to 500 staff but you will also be required to assist with ad hoc bookkeeping duties for the practice when required. Your bookkeeping responsibilities would include balance sheet reconciliations, assistance with the preparations of VAT returns and processing data through Xero and Sage Accounts.

The Successful Applicant

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who has a large amount of experience with running payrolls. You will be experienced in the use of Sage Payroll which is essential as well as experience with other accounting software.

With the bookkeeping experience, we are looking for someone who is either AAT qualified or even QBE (qualified by experience). Most importantly, you will need to be able to come in and hit the ground running!
