The client has a highly successful global business and they are now recruiting for a new Payroll and Finance Clerk to support their busy finance team. The company offer a friendly yet fast paced environment to work in and are seeking a suitably experienced candidate to take on this challenging but rewarding role in their business.

Job Description

The Payroll and Finance Assistant role includes a variety of duties including:

  • Fully responsible for the processing and payment of the monthly payroll for 200 staff
  • Investigating and resolving payroll queries
  • Statutory calculations such as SSP,SMP, SPP etc
  • Processing P11ds, P45s and P46s including setting up starters and leavers
  • Processing payment runs
  • Ad hoc payroll administration and time sheet processing
  • Processing Purchase Ledger invoices accurately to the system (SAP)
  • Verifying invoices through internal liaison and resolve supplier queries
  • Support with general administration tasks and provide occasional cover for Reception

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will need full exposure to end to end payroll processing as you will manage this function. It would be beneficial if you had some wider finance skills to support in other areas such as Purchase Ledger but this is not essential. Working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial but again would not be essential.
