Job Description

The clients preference would be for candidates with previous experience in Payroll Administration who could bring a working knowledge of the function and who is fully acquainted in the relevant language and legislation around a variety of Payroll related concerns to include Statutory Payments, Gross to Net pay calculations, Auto Enrolment Pensions, Tax and National Insurance Contributions, Holiday pay.

Main responsibilities will consist of;

  • Responsible for the timely, compliant and accurate delivery of all authorised amendments and payments, for allocated payroll/s
  • Assist with period end procedures, including importing employee data onto the HR system
  • Responsibility for reviewing and verifying payroll queries, ensuring authorised ad-hoc and third party payments are processed accurately to meet required deadlines
  • Assist with planning, analysis and delivery of Payroll service/data
  • Provide support with annual internal and external audits
  • Liaise with key Stakeholders to maintain relationships between Operations/Central teams

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Payroll Administrator will have;

  • Experienced in the area of payroll with exposure to PAYE and
  • Confident in their ability to pick up and adapt to new systems
  • Have a clear, confident, articulate communicator
  • Helpful and a team player
  • Willing to commit to the assignment and value to opportunity as the company values you.

Candidates who possess a Payroll qualification such as CIPP or a Customer Service related qualification or equivalent would be of interest but not essential

Have a good understanding of MS office packages. Intermediate to advanced level Excel is highly desirable but not essential
