About Our Client

Our client, a leading logistics distribution and supply chain company, are looking to recruit an up and coming Operations Support Manager after increased business growth and plans to expand the company by up to 40% in the coming 2 years.

Job Description

The Operations Support Manager role will directly assist the Depot, Transport and Warehouse Manager, to achieve goals set by the company. The role will include all of the below -

  • Floor based management of all staff
  • Liaise and agree all manning levels, development training, and discipline procedures
  • Training and refreshing of all staff on site
  • Maintaining accuracy of records along side admin team
  • Ensure all consumer/product complaints are logged and reported to Company Technical Manager
  • Control of all driving infringements, drivers hours and WTD
  • Recruitment and selection of staff, engagement with HR
  • Continuous implementation of HR and H&S encouraging a 'safety first' approach
  • Depot, Transport & Warehouse Manager duties as required

Flex as Depot open at weekend - on call element

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following -

  • 5 years + FMCG experience
  • KPI's success rates and target achievement
  • H&S and company standards compliance
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Educated to A level standard
  • Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative
