My client is located in the heart of Brentwood and are one of the key players in the Electronics industry. They have over 1800 employees in their company and work closely with a number of small businesses and support services, specialising in the recovery of financial based cases, for both citizens and large business corporations

They operate all over the UK and have recently bought another three sites, which demonstrates their rapid growth and why there is no better time then now to join.

Job Description

  • A number of the core roles and responsibilities in being the Operations Manager include:
  • Leading a team of 10 Operational support and Facilities staff.
  • Being responsible for Property and Fleet Services along with Procurement.
  • Maintain effective processes in relation to procurement and fleet management.
  • Liaise with the finance team to ensure core processes and procedures support synergies and meet audit level compliance standards.
  • Oversee the procurement and efficient and effective operation of all suppliers that relate to your areas of responsibility.
  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.
  • Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to feed actual spend into budget forecast and reconciliations.

The Successful Applicant

A number of the essential key skills needed for the Operations Manager include:

  • Fleet management experience is preferred.
  • Working proactively with a hands on approach to work.
  • Previous team and budget management experience.
  • Previous or current facilities and procurement management experience.
  • Ideally hold a recognised Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH.
  • Procurement experience.
  • ICFM (Institute of Car Fleet Management) accreditation
