About Our Client

Our client is a leading service provider based in the UK who is looking for an M&E Multi-skilled Technician in the Oxfordshire area.

Job Description

Carry out repairs/ new work to a high level of skill, conforming to Regulations / HTM and ACOP requirements

Observe all statutory and legal requirements, particularly in relation to Health & Safety at Work Act / Leave work areas clean and tidy at all times

Demonstrate a clear and ongoing commitment to inter-trade flexibility

Have ability and willingness to work across trades within the sphere of their technical competency, eg. Minor mechanical repairs and making safe building fabric etc

Develop good working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels

Provide instruction and guidance for maintenance assistants and apprentices, on all aspects of plant and equipment in order to develop their skills and knowledge

Responsibility for service activity for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and site specific health, safety and welfare polices.

Use of IT systems to provide/ monitor data within the Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems

Ensuring data is provided for and input into the Facilities Management Monitoring tool.

Any other appropriate duties as requested by management

Through knowledge and understanding of the systems contained within the Hospital to be able to perform a range of engineering duties safely and efficiently as requested by management

To service, test, diagnose repair and calibrate specialist plant and equipment including sterilisers / de-contamination equipment

Undertake training and appointment to act as Authorised Person as identified by Line Manager.

Provide a timely reactive service to our clients, being respectful of the contractual response and repair times so as to protect the company from financial penalty


  • Communicates technical issues to other maintenance staff, explain technical issues to other staff Range of work procedures and practices majority non-routine; intermediate level of theoretical knowledge
  • Knowledge of procedures for electrical/mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Electrical/mechanical knowledge, skill and ability to carry out minor repairs within their skill base.
  • Problem solve technical issues, fault diagnosis and solution finding
  • Plans and priorities own ongoing maintenance activities
  • Highly developed physical accuracy important; manipulation of fine tools, materials.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the M&E Multi-skilled Technician role in the Oxfordshire will ideally have a background in electrical/mechanical repair and maintenance.
