About Our Client

Our client is looking for an experienced Family/Matrimonial legal secretary to join their team in their North London office

Job Description

  • Document production
  • Diary management and telephone contact with clients
  • Copy and Digital Audio typing
  • Preparing for trial, including court bundles and other court documents, preparing briefs to Counsel, and liaising with Counsel and Court;
  • Client liaison, being a friendly and positive client point of contact, and accurately keeping contact details;
  • Record-keeping, digital dictation, opening and closing files, assistance with client billing, filing and archiving etc, and other ad hoc administrative, secretarial or PA tasks.

The Successful Applicant

Desirable key skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working as a Secretary in a solicitor's practice
  • Fast and accurate typing with a minimum of 60 WPM
  • Ability to draft correspondence
  • Ability to manage and organise large volumes of documents
  • Confident in use of email and other systems in daily work
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of BigHand digital dictation
