This is an excellent opportunity, for an accounting professional with proven experience, to work within a fast paced logistics company. Our client is one of the largest family-owned logistics companies in the UK and is also leading the logistics industry in environmental innovation, specifically low carbon transport.

Job Description

The Role The remit of the role is to:

  • prepare and analyse monthly management and annual statutory accounts
  • facilitate and aid in performance planning with budgets/forecasts
  • safeguard companies' assets, and ensure internal controls are maintained and adhered to
  • review, monitor and maintain financial policies and management information systems
  • liaise with management and colleagues on all aspects of finance
  • analyse the performance of a business and advise on how to pre-empt problems, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value.

The Successful Applicant

This role will suit a confident individual with good communication skills and experience working with operational and other non-finance managers.

Key Qualification/Experience - Finalist/Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA

- Excellent excel skills

- Experience with business accounting systems

- Full clean driving licence (travel to depots will be a requirement)
