About Our Client

Our client a Market Leading International Business are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to be based from their Farnham, Surrey office

Job Description

As a Management Accountant based from the Farnham, Surrey office you will be responsible for:

Efficiently and effectively deliver the UK's financial reporting and transaction processing requirements, in line with the Groups' financial objectives.

  • UK accounting: GL and Balance sheet control accounts - manage all aspects of both the controls, Input and reporting requirements particularly for the following activities:
    • Prepayments and accruals
    • Monthly reallocations
    • Damage, theft and allowance postings and schedules
  • Provide cover and assistance for the preparation of VAT returns
  • Oversee the entry and reporting of fixed assets within the business.
  • Provide all audit information while liaising with auditors as required for a clean audit.
  • UK reporting: preparation and production of the monthly reporting pack and board pack for review by the UK FM, including providing appropriate and relevant analysis.
  • Variance analysis and reporting.
  • Engagement with branch network and corporate support functions.
  • Budgets: assist with preparation of UK Regions budgets for management review, particularly overheads, so contributing to medium to long term business planning process.
  • Line management - provide support to the UK Finance Manager including overseeing the management accountant responsible for fixed assets.
  • Any other duties as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA / CIMA studier preferable
  • Experience in managing the GL is preferred
  • Computer literate with finance packages, with Microsoft NAV being an advantage but not essential
  • Strong Excel skills (Vlook Up's/ Pivot Tables) etc.
  • Experience of working with all management levels.
  • Excellent communication skills
