About Our Client

My client is a national, award winning business services provider, with sites across the UK and further expansion planned. The business, who are based in North Leeds, are currently looking to recruit for a Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team.

Job Description

The role of Management Accountant will include:

  • Assistant with the preparation of the monthly management accounts packs
  • Proactively liaise with operations managers around the business providing and explaining management information
  • Maintain cash book, sales and nominal ledgers on bespoke general ledger system
  • Responsibility for credit control
  • Project reporting
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Maintain PAYE/NI accounts and reconcile to payments
  • Preparation of monthly VAT Returns
  • Prepare documentation and analysis for year-end audit
  • Maintain petty cash
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
  • Monthly business KPI reporting
  • Project work

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

  • Be qualified by experience or part qualified AAT or CIMA/ACCA - Essential
  • Have previous knowledge of management accounts preparation - Desirable
  • Have excellent knowledge of MS Excel - Essential
  • Have excellent communication skills - Essential
