Housing Association based in Leicester.

The organisation provide support and affordable housing.

As a Maintenance Surveyor you will be supporting the Proactive repairs service for these homes.

Job Description

Maintenance Surveyor role will involve:

  • Raising Orders
  • Supporting & Advising Tenants
  • Surveying and Specifying Contracts
  • Carry out pre-inspections, identifying day to day defects in residential properties.
  • Identifying any longer term preventative maintenance solutions
  • Writing work specifications to ensure value for money and effectiveness
  • Carry out survey programmes that are representative and in the interpretation and analysis of repairs and property data to support the development and delivery of programmes
  • Identify any required repairs within a customer's property
  • Prescribe and schedule any required remedial works
  • Carry out full stock condition surveys on dwellings, appraising life cycle expectancy of all components

The Successful Applicant

Ideally the client requires a Maintenance to have the following:

  • A relevant building / maintenance qualification
  • Demonstrate experience delivering both Responsive and Proactive Repairs services.
  • A minimum of five years relevant experience in the building industry, ideally working within a customer focused housing repair and maintenance team.
  • Knowledge of building pathology
  • Strong communication skills
  • The successful individual will be required to travel within a designated region, therefore it is essential that you to hold a current UK driving license and have your own vehicle.

What's on Offer


After 6 month the client will offer a salary increase to £28-29,000
