Job Description

As the Inventory Management Assistant, you will be based in London and will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing and maintaining inventory analysis metrics in order to understand inventory segmentation, understand the flow of inventory through the business and to prioritise inventory decision-making.
  • Compiling inventory reports to demonstrate trends and changes in the segmented inventory over time, with a particular emphasis on monitoring and driving stock disposal progress.
  • Alongside the other departmental assistant, administering the routine stock check programme, ensuring that checks are carried out on time, and then initiating follow-up action where necessary to resolve anomalies.
  • Alongside the other departmental assistant, administering the stock disposal programme through liaison with the inventory 'owner' to secure disposal decisions, followed by liaison directly with clients where items are to be returned or disposed of on their behalf.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory anomalies and data errors in SAP and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Assisting with research into unknown and uncontactable owners, issuing appropriate correspondence and maintaining records of actions taken in order to permit the disposal process to take place in line with our terms of business.

The Successful Applicant

In the role of Inventory Management Assistant you need to live within a commuting distance of London. You will also need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A previous inventory background would be advantageous.
  • You will have strong analytical skills and an ability to present results clearly and simply.
  • It is essential that you have excellent written and communication skills.
  • You must have Excel skills and ideally a working knowledge of SAP.

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Salary is between £20,000 and £23,000 + Benefits, depending on relevant experience.
