A large, multinational organisation with multiple sites across the UK.

Job Description

  • Support the Head of Department in arranging and administering the organisations corporate insurance policies to ensure adequate and continued protection for the organisation and its assets.

  • Liaise with Insurers, Liability Adjusters and Lawyers in connection with liability claims and the preparation of documents for Court.

  • In liaison with the Head of Department, Health & Safety Officer and the Sites Network, co-ordinate, monitor and administer Sites Incident Report Forms to ensure effective settlement of valid third party claims and the recovery of uninsured losses from negligent third parties.

  • Preparation of analysis of Accidents and Incidents across the sites network to identify trends to be used as a learning tool.

  • Presentations at Wardens conferences relating to incidents and accidents, the importance of recording accurate information, liability and preventative action to ensure continued improvement in the system and help protect the organisations position.

  • Preparation of written papers for guidance and instruction to site personnel and providing on-going support to sites personnel.

  • Liaising between owners, Insurers and Liability Adjusters in respect of Public Liability claims.

  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Department as required in accordance with established guidelines.

The Successful Applicant

  • Insurance experience essential, ideally personal and commercial lines in a broking environment
  • CII qualification or relevant experience/knowledge
  • Incident management experience, including small liability claims handling within pre-set parameters
  • A motivated self-starter able to work under own initiative but also as a team player
  • A good communicator, written and oral, able to articulate at any level and handle contentious issues both in and outside the business
  • Prepared to take responsibility
  • Analytical skills to inform and support decision making process.
  • Ability to prioritise work load and work to deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Liaising with colleagues in business and external suppliers.
  • Ability to use Word & Excel
  • SAP system knowledge preferred
