My Client is now the largest provider of safety testing services focused on the rapidly growing biologics sector of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Job Description

Technical Requirements

  • Engage with clients at a technical sales level to identify and provide a scientific solution based approach to their biologics testing needs.
  • Provide technical & regulatory support and other relevant information to customers via the available communication vehicles
  • Utilise service offering knowledge to successfully conduct effective consultative selling.
  • Utilise company and service offering knowledge to assist other members of the sales team as required by the Sales Manager.
  • Be familiar with current industry specific regulatory guidelines.

Core Activities

  • Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by applying a working knowledge of the organisations service capabilities to maintain existing business, develop incremental business in existing accounts, identify and develop new accounts.

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships, at all levels within assigned accounts to influence purchasing decisions.

  • Develop, maintain and execute a Strategic Business Plan for the assigned territory to demonstrate effective territory planning and management skills.
  • Maintain and increase current customer database and profiles through the Company customer relations management software (Salesforce CRM).
  • Communicate key competitive activities, trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers.

  • Develop and implement account specific strategic plans.
  • Formulate and recommend pricing strategies for key accounts.

Nature and Scope

Strong technical understanding of relevant services and ideally of clients operational processes. Capacity to execute sales and marketing plans. Strong analytical and business planning skills. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to many diverse customer audiences such as Economic Decision Makers and other influencers. Strong capabilities to interface effectively with all customer types. Demonstrates a positive attitude and desire to succeed. Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

The Successful Applicant

What we need from you...

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Virology or related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience.

A sales history is preferred but not essential.

French or German speaker is a must.

Willingness to learn.
