Job Description

HR Officer

Key Accountabilities:

  • To provide appropriate HR support, advice and guidance to the factory management teams, in particular Factory Managers
  • Deal with employee relations issues as appropriate
  • Ensure communication of and adherence to HR Policies for site
  • Involved in Union discussions/wage negotiation processes
  • Analyse attendance/absence records and provide timely information to line managers to support absence control
  • Continually assess local HR KPIs and communicate to site
  • Effectively support all site recruitment processes, and if required, take part in the selection process and manage employee inductions
  • Provide the payroll department with the appropriate information to ensure correct salary payments are made to employees
  • Provide direction in the use of company HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure input accuracy for Time and Attendance, electronic and manual record systems to ensure accuracy of HR and Payroll information. Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters and other contractual paperwork as required; ensuring it complies with best HR practice and relevant employment legislation
  • Prepare period HR reports and statistics
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties / accountabilities as requested by the business
  • Actively support responsibility for Food Safety, Quality and Legality. Demonstrate commitment by example and support line management with the education and training of all site personnel. Support any initiatives, to maintain / promote awareness and importance
  • Work with Training & Development Manager to deliver training needs for site
  • Delivery of HR Projects

The Successful Applicant

  • 5 Years HR experience and CIPD Qualified/HR Diploma.
  • Excellent administrative and numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent PC skills - Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Able to work in a methodical and organised way
  • Excellent organisational ability and able to act on own initiative
  • The capacity to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
  • Drive, enthusiasm and commitment to achieve required results
