Job Description

The Role

  • Work collaboratively with customers, alliance and joint venture partners to support the implementation of people plans within contracts.
  • Implement the companies HR policies, procedures and values
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential stakeholders. Know the people and understand the' health' of the business
  • Maintain resourcing schedules to assist key stakeholders with informed decisions on resourcing, ensuring full and effective deployment of staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Work with the Resourcing Business Partner and Recruiting Managers to provide support and expert knowledge on the recruitment process. Support managers with assessment, interviewing and selection as appropriate.
  • Assist HRBP with the implementation of effective plans to enhance employee engagement in the business area.
  • Proactively manage and advise issues on absence, long term ill health, liaising with Occupational Health professionals as appropriate.
  • Assist operations team with maximising staff capability and competency within the business area by providing advice on positive performance management
  • Assisting HRBP with organisational restructure, specifically in TUPE situations
  • To work in conjunction with Group HR functions to provide best practice advice and support across the business stream.
  • Supporting Employee Relations activity, providing management with advice and support in disciplinary, grievance and appeal situations, including support in meetings and active case management
  • Work with HR Shared Service to provide appropriate people Management Information to inform and drive business performance
  • Work proactively with HR Shared Service to provide seamless transnational support to the business stream
  • Assisting with HR projects and initiatives within the business unit as required to ensure delivery of the HR plan.

The Successful Applicant

The Individual

  • CIPD qualified or part qualified
  • Good working knowledge of Employment Law, HR Policies and Procedures and TUPE
  • HR experience in an operational role
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of dealing with disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings
  • Experience of working with an HR Shared Service team
  • Commercial awareness and business understanding
  • A flexible approach in terms of work content and geography
  • Strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work across teams
  • Personal desire to drive change and make things happen
