About Our Client

My client is a not for profit organisation base in Newport.

Job Description

Update the HR database and carry out HR reporting.

Assist with recruitment and selection activities (ensuring job spec up to date, placing adverts, collating & monitoring applications, organising interviews and assessor packs, decline/offer letters).

Maintain and update all Job Specs as required.

Prepare contracts of employment as authorised by the General Manager and issue within 8 weeks of start date.

Create and put together all new starter documents for office based Staff

Keep staff handbook updated.

Carry out pre-employment screening (Criminal Record Checks -CBS Checks, Right to work, references, surveyor checks etc).

Create all personnel files electronic and hardcopy.

Carry out HR induction with new starters (run through contract and handbook. Ensure signature to confirm they understand and placed in file).

Process all Holiday Request and Sickness Forms

Ensure the HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation

Updating the holiday and sickness schedule.

Maintain and update Probationary Period spreadsheet, escalate issues to line managers.

Administer HR-related documentation (Offer, Contract, Probationary, performance, disciplinary)

Updating training records and the Training Matrix for all office based staff.

Co-ordinate training carried out in-house, including sending out invitations, reserving and setting up rooms, organising lunches and collating evaluation forms for office based staff.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR Administrator who is interested in HR analysis.
