About Our Client

Page Personnel are partnering with a well known, global FMCG organisation based in Slough. This client is looking for a confident, degree educated HR Advisor who is able to support in a generalist capacity.

Job Description

The HR Advisor will be responsible for:

Recruitment & on-boarding:

  • Planning and management of Graduate recruitment, including On-Campus strategy & University Partnerships, Graduate employer branding, advertising, spend, application exercises and measures of success against competency and the company's core values
  • Management of assessment centre process
  • Development and roll-out of induction plan for graduates

Development & engagement:

  • Working with business leaders to define appropriate roles for graduates
  • Assigning roles based on business need & opportunity for development
  • Defining and rolling-out graduate training agenda
  • Providing Mentoring partnerships
  • Coaching to graduates
  • Support & coaching to graduate managers
  • Support appointment to roles after final evaluation of the scheme
  • Drive all engagement activity

Roll-out of HR tools, processes & policies:

  • Full ownership of HR processes for Sales function plus support to wider sales function
  • Management of Talent Assessment, Risk & Impact, Training needs analysis and Salary review processes
  • Delivers new starter HR training on behalf of UK HR team

Training & Development:

  • Full management of UK training during absence of Senior HR BP, continued management of training on operational level, planning & booking courses, budget tracking
  • working with the Senior HR BP to improve training content and prioritise in line with business strategy
  • Actively provides recommendations of courses to team managers to develop team capability/engagement

Employee relations:

  • Ownership over absence management, work-related stress, investigate & disciplinary processes, capability procedures, unsuccessful probation completion

Organisational planning:

  • Work with Senior Management to effectively plan structural changes, budgets planning, planning for upcoming vacancies
  • Use understanding of business focus areas to enable good people decisions

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree qualified (2:1 or above)
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) (A-C)
  • Working towards CIPD Qualification
  • Previous experience working in a HR Associate/ HR Graduate or HR Advisor role (minimum 2 years)
  • Confident communicator and presenter
  • Previous experience managing a client group
  • Good working knowledge and experience in employee relations/employment law
  • Ability to influence
  • Outgoing and dynamic personality with a high level of energy and drive
  • Ability to think and act independently
  • Tenacity and resilience, must be able to respond robustly to pressure
  • Motivated by long term career in an international business
