HR Advisor


Support the HR team and the organisation in the mitigation of people risks by providing professional and comprehensive advice, guidance and support to managers and employees covering a broad range of areas.

Support the HR Manager and Group HR Director in developing and implementing HR Strategy

Support the development of managers and key stakeholders in the aim to reduce the re occurrence of enquiries at future dates.


This is a challenging role in a changing environment and requires an established HR Advisor with strong employee relations experience and excellent employment law knowledge. A self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with trust and influence. There is a requirement to manage high volume workload whilst retaining a continuous improvement focus.


  • Manage employee relations case load in conjunction with managers dealing with issues relating to health and well being, attendance, performance management, disciplinary and grievance ensuring the mitigation of people risks to the organisation.
  • Guide up skill managers to handle their own basic HR queries
  • Actively support managers with all aspects of the colleague life cycle
  • Support the business in resolving matters of conflict at the earliest opportunity
  • Assist in ensuring the company is up to date with current legislation and the effective communication to staff at all levels
  • Support the Group HR Manager and Group HR Director in the planning and implementation of specific HR projects.
  • Make decisions without referral that fall within agreed parameters
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required.

  • CIPD qualified or working towards completion
  • Procedural and specialist knowledge
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Sound judgement and technical knowledge, together with commercial awareness.
  • Able to build and sustain relationships at all levels
  • Able to act on own initiative and make decisions when required
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
