Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Financial Analysis Team include:

- Cost reporting and management

- Initiatives and projects support

- Supporting the Account Payable process

- Financial, Regulatory & Capital Reporting & Management

- Revenue reporting

- Asset Under Management (AUM) and fund flows reporting

- Quarterly forecasts

- Group reporting

- Management Information for senior executives

- Facilitate the annual business planning process

- Provide ad-hoc analysis to assist management decisions

Individual responsibilities and duties include:

- Support the month end close

  • Timely and consistent reporting
  • Promptly investigate and resolve any data issues

- Cost control, reporting and management

  • Ensure cost systems are kept up to date
  • Work with Account Payable to ensure our books and records are accurately maintained
  • T&E analysis and issue resolution
  • Resolve queries and issues independently
  • Design and improve MI reports

- Support Financial, Regulatory & Capital Reporting & Management

  • Statutory reporting and external auditor liaison
  • Corporate taxation
  • Regulatory reporting and liquidity management
  • Capital modelling, monitoring and planning

- Insight invests heavily in development of IT infrastructure and system. The role will cover:

  • Liaising with project managers to help them forecast and report their project spend
  • Preparing MI for senior management
  • Planning project spend and associated depreciation stream
  • Staff utilisation analysis

- They are in the process of implementing a Tax & Transfer Pricing model. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in the implementation of this model.

- Conduct periodic meetings with cost centre managers; investigate and resolve material cost variances.

- Assist in ad hoc requests from the business.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Graduate Finance Analyst position should have:

  • Degree, 2.1 minimum
  • Recent and proven experience in a Finance and Accounting role (can be an internship) ideally within a Financial Services environment
  • Desire to complete professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong academic background
  • Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc)
