Job Description

The role of a General Ledger Assistant will include but will not be limited to:

  • Month end closure
  • Preparation and processing of journal entries to general ledger
  • Preparation of account reconciliations
  • Intercompany balancing and reconciliations utilising group reporting system
  • Cash book management
  • Ad-hoc project work

The Successful Applicant

The chosen candidate will display the following skills and attributes:

  • Currently studying towards a relevant professional accounting qualification - preferable
  • Previous experience within a finance function
  • A good understanding of accountancy principles, activities and processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good level of ability in using Microsoft Excel
  • Previous Oracle and Hyperion experience an advantage
