Job Description

Leading and managing a team of fundraisers and fundraising operational staff based in Edinburgh, delivering existing work plans and establishing clear expectations and targets; building competencies; addressing operational challenges; and nurturing individual and team performance.

Coordinating and be the main point person for wider fundraising team to ensure that the team is connected and collaborative across Europe and opportunities are identified and pursued as appropriate.

 Reporting on the delivery of fundraising strategy and performance. Developing and maintaining income and expenditure tracking and evaluation systems; reporting of outcomes.

 Maximising income generation potential through fundraising activities across all individual giving, community fundraising and

 implementation of direct marketing and community strategy and budget

 Ensure that for all income generation activities, potential risks and assumptions are identified and analysed in advance. Ensure steps are taken and agreed as appropriate in order to protect our interest

 Ensure that all fundraising activities are legal and adhere to industry best practice

The Successful Applicant

Significant (minimum of 5 years) Fundraising experience in a similar role

 Effective leadership and people management skills

 Knowledge of Charity law and data protection

 Experience in Individual Giving, Events and Community Fundraising

 Understanding of the use and potential of CRM databases

 Experience of setting and managing budgets and monitoring budgets

 Strong time management skills, able to prioritise and an ability to work under pressure


 Excellent organisation skills and fantastic attention to detail

 Excellent writing and editing skills

 Proactive and solutions based attitude

 Ability to co-operate and work with colleagues and partners to maximise opportunities

 High levels of self-motivation, professionalism and resilience
