About Our Client

Our client is a leading organisation in the Property & Construction sector, with a Head Office based in Hamilton.

Job Description

The successful Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly flash reports and management accounts
  • Production of monthly sales, margin and cost reports and analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliation, analysis and control
  • KPI reporting and Variance Analysis
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts and group consolidation
  • Management of the annual audit process
  • Co-ordination of the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting
  • Review of VAT returns
  • Review of payment runs
  • Payroll supervision
  • Risk management and implementation of improvements to financial control and procedures
  • Ad hoc project support

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will hold a professional Accountancy qualification (preferably CA) and may come from a practice or industry background. A prior knowledge of the property, building or construction sectors would be advantageous. Strong Excel skills are essential.
