This business are a highly regarded services business specialising in a niche market in the North West, the role will be based within the operational function in Birchwood.

This client are a regulated company with secure global contracts running for 10 years + at a time with projects being valued in the millions.

Job Description

This Financial Business Analyst role will be responsible for:

*Develop a detailed understanding of the core business outcomes and key performance drivers, metrics and KPI's.

*Analyse financial and non-financial data, performance, risks and issues to identify underlying business trends or themes that need to be addressed and put forward solutions to resolve.

*Support the development of quick, accurate and accessible management information both for local teams and wider stakeholders with a range of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

*Design and maintain detailed planning models that enable budgeting and forecasting, analysis and reporting of key business metrics and KPI's.

*Work closely with key business partners to create and maintain key financial and scenario based models which support strategic business decisions. Examples may include development of new framework profitability or tender evaluation models.

*Build strong relationships across finance and transformation team as well as the other key control functions.

*Identify opportunities for improving finance processes such as Order to cash, Purchase to Pay and Record to Report through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.

*Translation of business requirements and objectives to help the other teams (such as IT) with solutioning, development and implementation.

*Track and fully document changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures and process documentation for permanent records and for use in training.

The Successful Applicant

This Financial Business Analyst opportunity will consider candidate with;

*CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified Level

*Very strong excel skills and ability to work with large quantities of data essential.

*Strong communicator, able to elicit information from stakeholders at all levels.

*SQL, MS Office, Visio.

*Knowledge of major Finance ERP systems (Aggresso would be a bonus).

*Analytical mind with the ability to translate detailed and complex information into concise and coherent management information.

*Must be diligent and use own initiative to resolve issues.

*Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the Accountancy team and across the business.
