Job Description


  • To maintain a high standard system of financial record keeping, and to provide the management teams with timely and accurate financial and management information, to enable them to monitor, manage and control the company effectively.
  • To monitor the compliance of both Accounts and Operational staff within financial procedures and internal controls so as to maintain the integrity, completeness and accuracy of financial records and safeguard the assets of the company.
  • Prepare consolidated monthly analysis including profit and loss, balance sheet, working capital analysis, cash flow, and other supplementary schedules, ensuring all entries are calculated and completed accurately.
  • Prepare monthly analysis as required.
  • Monitor the accounting ledgers and ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled and understood monthly, and any discrepancies are highlighted and investigated.
  • Consolidate the submissions from contracts to produce budgets.
  • Liaise with Group Finance and Divisional Finance teams, to ensure that all queries are resolved, and that all required analysis is completed.
  • Assist in the production of the relevant schedules for the statutory accounts, and liaise with the external auditors as required.
  • Provide financial and commercial support and advice to operational line management as necessary to assist them in the achievement of the financial performance targets
  • Contribute towards the development of financial procedures, processes and systems to ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Analyse performance and make recommendations for improvement by challenge and support in the following areas: Financial Performance, Operational Efficiency, Risk Management.
  • Ensure compliance with controls and procedures.
  • Meet all deadlines in accordance with Business and Group timetables
  • Provide support to Senior Finance Management, as required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should:

  • Be studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA),
  • Possess strong analytical and Excel skills,
  • Highly organised, and have a great attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate in person, by email and on the telephone.
  • Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.

What's on Offer

Basic salary between £30,000 and £37,000

My client will employ the successful candidate on their payroll for 6 months so you will be entitled to their company benefits such as holidays
