About Our Client

  • Responsible for Finance and Accounting activities of the local entity
  • Supporting in the Monthly and Quarterly closing activities of the local entity and local statutory reports as bases for management reporting
  • Responsible for correct VAT and other tax filings of the entity
  • Supporting in local statutory reporting

Job Description

  • The mentioned task & duties refer to the local entity as assigned to the Financial Accountant. Besides this, the Accounting Lead represents the Local Finance Manager in case of his / her absence.
  • Daily monitoring of all automatic postings, prepare corrective actions in case of errors, instruct local employees in order to get correct postings
  • Coordinating all Finance and accounting activities and coach the assigned AP/AR employees in their daily work
  • Monthly checking of ledger accounts and make necessary corrections (Balance and profit & loss review)
  • Prepare posting of Fixed Assets, Fixed cost journals, Payroll journal, inventory postings, accruals
  • Check Monthly Trial Balance and coordinate P&L reporting together with Planning & Control department
  • Prepare quarterly Consolidation package
  • Prepare Monthly Intercompany reconciliation
  • VAT filing and other statistical registrations
  • Prepare and support annual and semi annual audits
  • Prepare Annual local reporting and incorporation tax filings and audits together with the local tax advisor / Local Finance Manager.
  • Any other related F&A activities
  • Securing and supporting an efficient and effective Internal Control framework to secure a timely and correct reporting
  • Securing accounting respecting local (UK) GAAP, IFRS and J-Sox compliance

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor level degree or equivalent level obtained by work experience
  • proven successful record of similar job within the area of F&A
  • Excellent and proven knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Good communication skills (internal and external)
  • Good understanding and use of ERP systems (preferably MS Dynamics AX) and DB tools (working with cubes)
  • Organised and efficient way of working
  • Willingness to travel internationally occasionally.
