About Our Client

A growing Propety and Housing Charity based in Hatfield are seeking a Finance Officer to join their established team. They are a forward thinking organisation who have been around for 60 years and are commited to providing care to the elderly.

Job Description

Working within a friendly Finance team your role as a Finance Officer will include -

  • To support the Finance Manager and Care Home Manager with accurate and timely analysis of budgets, forecasts and other financial activities
  • Provide the Finance Manager with monthly commentary on material variances within the home
  • To take responsibility for financial performance returns
  • Oversee day to day expenditure and income management
  • Management of Sales Ledger and credit control of arrears and credit balances
  • Posting of monthly sales invoices and bank movement for care homes
  • Accruals, prepayments and other necessary adjustments
  • To set up residents accounts
  • Attend monthly meetings to present results to the Care Home Manager
  • General Administration

The Successful Applicant

  • Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards
  • Knowledge of Forecasting & budgeting is an advantage
  • Previous experience working within a Housing or Charitable organisation is a huge advantage
  • Experience of using an ERP system is desirable
