My client are a Branding Agency based in the City of London, who have experienced exceptional growth and success over the past few years. Having grown by 42% over the past 2 years, they are confident that the responsibilities of this role will continue to develop and create an exciting opportunity for an interim Finance Manager.

Job Description

As an interim Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a portfolio of open projects; monitor and investigate significant overspends
  • To assist the Client Services Team with project related reconciliations, financial issues and status reports.
  • To ensure the Client Services Team follow financial procedures and best practice.
  • To request PMR and invoicing feedback from the Client Servicing Team on a regular basis.
  • To co-ordinate the raising of sales invoices and credit notes to clients.
  • To be responsible for the day to day management and supervision of the Assistant Project Accountant
  • Monitor the London bank accounts on a daily basis using the online banking system.
  • Maintain and reconcile the London cash book.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the London bank accounts.
  • To investigate any old unpresented items on the bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare regular cashflow forecasts for the Finance Director London highlighting any concerns.
  • To oversee the London Sales Ledger function.
  • To oversee the London Credit Control function and to be responsible for the day to day management and supervision of the London Expense Supervisor and Credit Controller.
  • To prepare a monthly Debtors report.
  • To ensure Client Business Directors are made aware of any Debtor issues.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the Sales Ledger Control accounts.
  • To ensure that relevant VAT returns are made to HMRC in respect of DB London.
  • To approve project related purchase ledger invoices and expenses for DB London.
  • To highlight any material discrepancies between projected related invoice amounts and related budgets.
  • To prepare monthly inter company account reconciliations and invoices.
  • To prepare returns to the Office of National Statistics as required.
  • To help maintain, promote and develop DB Connect.
  • To assist with introducing DB Connect to new staff

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for this position your CV must demonstrate previous experience gained within a similar role.

If you have worked within a creative agency before, this would be advantageous.

We are also hoping to find a candidate who has worked on the accounting package Paprika before, however this is not essential.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is either qualified by experience of Part Qualified in ACCA or CIMA, to work as part of a diverse team.

The Fixed Term contract is due to expire after 11 months, however there is potential that this could be extended during the assignment.
