A highly successful business, part of a global PLC, has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join an established accountancy team in a fast paced and challenging role.

Job Description

Your role as Finance Manager is to manage the finance function for a subsidiary business, ensuring all financial data is correct and drive process improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Month end reporting on profit and loss, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Opening and closing off the month end ledgers
  • Managing GRIR accounts
  • US GAAP reporting and UK statutory reporting
  • Posting accruals and prepayments
  • Preparation of VAT returns and full reconciliation
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Managing the fixed asset register and carrying out regular counts
  • Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Improving current processes and financial controls

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate must have the following required experience:

  • CIMA / ACCA finalist
  • Experience of month and year end close
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 / 500
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Proven experience in a fast paced financial management role
