About Our Client

My client is based next to Richmond station.

Job Description

  • Working closely with and delegating appropriately to the two finance assistants to ensure smooth running of all finance processes and timely production of in depth management information.
  • Producing and monitoring integrated and tweakable budgets and forecasts across the different divisions of the company.
  • Producing and maintaining regular cash flow forecasts for the senior management.
  • Overseeing and aiding in the operation of the accounts payable process, including:
  • Maintaining supplier accounts on our new accountancy software (Xero),
  • Using and enforcing the newly implemented invoice system (Receipt Bank).
  • Ensuring swift payment of invoices.
  • Overseeing and aiding in the maintenance of the accounts system, including:
  • Reconciling bank payments.
  • Posting judgemental/technical manual journals.
  • Creating and sending out sales invoices.
  • Ensuring correct coding of entries.
  • Ensuring correct accounting treatments are adhered to.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of managing people within a finance department.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel.
  • Experience as a Finance Manager for at least 1 year
  • Impeccable organisation, time management and attention to detail.
  • Confident, with excellent communication and written skills
  • Accounting experience: Minimum 3 years and direct experience of financial and budgeting responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent administrative skills: Strong Excel skills
  • Organisational and communication skills - Well-developed organisation and internal information-sharing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Team worker
