Job Description

The Finance Manager role reports directly to the CFO and involves;

  • Monthly preparation of management accounts pack for the CFO

  • Monthly Reporting Package for the Board (Public Company)

  • Supervision of book-keeping; credit control and invoice preparation

  • Journal preparation and entry (Accruals, Prepayments, R&D, Fixed Assets);

  • Preparing quarterly VAT return; Tax submissions (CT600, P35, P11d etc)

  • Other Government reporting requirements - eg Office of national Statistics

  • Overall control of accounting package; Reconciling balance sheet accounts; Bank reconciliation review;

  • Revenue and COGS reconciliations and recognition; Intercompany accounting and reconciliation;

  • Pricing and Margin analysis;

  • Transfer pricing

  • Statutory Accounts (IFRS reporting); Audit supervision; Forecasting; Corporation tax draft calculations, working with tax advisors

  • Prepare and file subsidiary accounts and annual returns

  • Working closely with Sales and Operations team

  • Ad hoc tasks beyond day to day role.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role will;

  • have worked in a similar role previously
  • be Part Qualified / finalist level CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • be looking for a role with a high level of responsibility, ownership, and influence
  • have strong analytical, and Excel, skills
