Job Description

  • Supporting the Finance Managers in ensuring that the financial ledger is kept up-to-date with accurate coding and recording of transactions including the processing of journals
  • Provide management accounting support and running costs including maintaining and calculating cash reconciliations and accrual and forecast positions.
  • To assist with month end procedures in line with the monthly timetable.
  • To assist Finance Managers with financial support to annual contract negotiations with providers.
  • Support the production of reconciliation statements and proactively deal with queries.
  • To support costings for existing and new developments as and when requested.
  • To reconcile balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis, supported by the Finance Manager.
  • Support the Deputy Chief Financial Officer in the production of annual budgets and to support the financial planning process.
  • Running and collating reports which may include reports to the Board, senior management and other members of the finance team as required.
  • To proactively contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures within the finance team and to improve provision of service to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the timely distribution of monthly financial reports to budget

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following

AAT / CIMA part qualified or equivalent

Previous success of working within a busy finance team

Knowledge of processing transactions within a complex finance system including accruals, prepayments and journals.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
