Job Description

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare month and year end accounts as well as management reporting assisting in financial and strategic business decisions
  • Post journals, maintain Prepayments, Accruals, reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts as required
  • Purchase ledger: raising purchase orders, matching, coding, inputting purchase invoices, dealing with suppliers' queries and reconciling supplier statements. Expense claims.
  • Sales ledger: raise sales invoices and manage credit control
  • Fixed Asset register: additions, disposals and depreciation.
  • Maintain Cashbook, generate supplier payment runs, petty cash and bank reconciliations.
  • VAT returns

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have bags of personality and the ability to deal with a number of internal & external stakeholders, over the phone and face-to-face. You will ideally have some finance / accounting experience or some form of transferable experience from a customer facing position.
