About Our Client

The Finance Analyst opportunity will bridge a gap between the shared service function, IT and the senior finance teams, your role will predominantly be to manage the financial data and identify trends and improvements to reporting structures. This role will have a remit of 3 business areas specialising in a number of different building materials supplied worldwide, you will work within a team of 5 analysts and the role will require daily work on the Microsoft VBA business tool, an advanced knowledge of maintaining, improving and creating using VBA will be required.

Job Description

This Finance Analyst opportunity will have the following role remit;

*Generate reports and support with strategic business decisions on future strategy and direction

*To manage and analyse information across 3 business areas for KPI's - improvements to also be made

*To provide commentary on KPIs to various operational directors on why performance is above or below forecasts

*Responsible for ensuring integrity, reliability and accuracy of the data being used in the business performance analysis

*Project support - such as, providing ongoing analytical support, drafting and completion of analytical recommendations and plans, and to ensure that the collation of data is supplied to agreed timescales.

*Working with senior manager to support new proposals, projects and opportunities

*Ensure that customer requirements are made to the highest economical standards

*Implementation of all business initiatives

*liaison with professional bodies to ensure that the organisation benefits from industry best practice

The Successful Applicant

This Finance Analyst role will require a highly analytical individual who is also willing to support commercial business aspects of the role, your personality will play a key part in the selection process for this exciting position however the following skills are required as a minimum;

*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - VBA is ESSENTIAL for the role, you must be able to maintain, create and improve these reports daily. (Testing at interview using high volumes of data will require a high score)

*Educated to degree standard or equivalent

*Experiment working within a strategic / commercial role in finance (experience with implementing change would be an advantage)

*SAP accountancy software experience is desired

*Excellent and proven experience working within a business supporting KPI and financial reporting

*Confident with data manipulation on a large (International) scale

*Effective persuasion and influencing skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels including senior managers and directors
