With head offices located in the City of London, my client is a leading provider of outsourced services and fund administration to Private Equity in Europe. In addition to London they also have offices located in Luxembourg, Jersey and Guernsey.

They have a team of 181 people from 4 European Offices working with 135 clients to provide administration and depository oversight to $102 billion assets for 262 funds. They work with 9 of the top 25 European Private Equity managers and their turnover in 2014 was in excess of £20 million.

Job Description

Located in their City of London head office and reporting directly into the Senior Fund Accountant, the Finance Administrator would be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensure all work completed complies with the Fund's documentation and relevant regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering regulations
  • Follow Company procedures at all times
  • Liaise confidently and knowledgeably with the clients on a daily basis
  • Ensure correct recording of revenue
  • Administer investment / divestment process in line with standard company procedures
  • Administer the draw down and distribution processes
  • Respond to investor and client queries
  • Bookkeeping of basic transactions
  • Preparation of basic financial statements
  • Undertake general administration tasks for the team's client base
  • Maintain the various registers for the teams clients
  • Help on matters relating to customer due diligence

The Successful Applicant

Desirable applicants will:

  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including MS Excel and MS Word
  • Have a basic understanding of bookkeeping / accounting
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Have a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ideally have the required knowledge of the Private Equity and Fund Administration sector (desirable)

Target qualifications:

  • ACCA (F1-F3)
  • AAT (Foundation / Intermediate)
  • CAT (P1 - P3)
  • ICSA (Foundation)
  • IDFA - formally CoA

What's on Offer

Remuneration will include a basic salary between £20,000 - £25,000 and an excellent additional benefits package.
