A fast paced B2B distribution company based in Birmingham.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Operations you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of supervisors and team leaders
  • Provide training and support to the distribution team
  • Ensure all stock is dispatch in a timely manner
  • Setting and monitoring of your teams KPIS
  • HR Management including; appraisals, disiplinaries, return to work interviews etc
  • Managing the 3PL company to ensure high service level
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution centre
  • To ensure best practices are implemented at all times
  • To ensure compliance to company policies and procedures

The Successful Applicant

Key skills needed for the position include:

  • At least 2 years management experience in a logistics operation
  • Experience within a fast paced distribution environment
  • Ability to lead a large team
  • Experience managing 3PL providers
  • Continuous Improvement Experience
  • Warehouse house management systems experience
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Logistics graduate scheme experience would be beneficial
  • Ability to work NIGHTS if needed
  • Flexible to cover additional shifts and weekends

What's on Offer

Salary on offer is between £30,000 and £35,000
