Job Description

The Credit Controller will hold the following day to day duties:

  • Telephone, email and write to customers about their accounts with a view to collecting payments
  • Reconcile customer accounts to resolve any customer queries relating to their accounts
  • Review customer credit ratings and review credit limits on all active accounts at least annually and more frequently for key accounts
  • Set customer credit limits and review orders on hold
  • Negotiate repayment plans
  • Recommend write-offs of bad debts and flag any new doubtful debts as soon as possible
  • Produce management information including aged debtor reports
  • Assist with preparing for legal action to collect overdue debts
  • Handling general accountancy queries
  • Other clerical tasks as required

The Successful Applicant

The successful Credit Controller must have:

  • Previous experience within a similar credit control position
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Have the ambition to progress
  • Be computer literate
