Job Description

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Credit Control for approx. 60 live accounts

  • Forecasting cash receipts on a weekly basis

  • Ensuring the weekly automated invoice run is produced in a timely manner to agreed deadlines

  • Ensuring all manual invoice and credit note requests are processed within the weekly deadlines

  • Ensuring the invoices and credit notes are sent out to the customers weekly and in a timely manner through various formats

  • Ensuring that invoice have Purchase Order numbers where needed

  • Posting and allocating daily cash payments from customers

  • Liaising with Management Accountants and Depot Administration teams on any issues or amendments to invoice or credit note requests

  • To raise monthly open book invoices within an agreed time frame

  • To work with Customer Services to ensure invoices are raised on a weekly basis to cover any miscellaneous jobs

  • Investigate any invoice queries received from customers in a timely manner and arrange credit notes were necessary.

  • To resolve issues with unrated jobs and ensuring a resolution is made within the timescales of the weekly invoice run

  • To send welcome packs out to new customers

  • Ensuring adherence to "best practice" procedures and processes

  • Ad hoc Accounts Receivable tasks when needed

Suitable candidates will have the following:

  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate, competent user of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Takes ownership and works in an autonomous capacity
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commercial awareness
  • Works co-operatively and willingly with others to achieve common objectives
  • Ability to work well under pressure to achieve tight deadlines
  • Desire to ensure tasks are seen through to completion
  • Excellent relationship skills and confident networker
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs
  • Able to multi-task
  • Hard working / Flexible
  • Competent in use of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Credit Control and Sales Ledger Experience
