Job Description:

  • Credit Controller
  • To maximise cash collection per period.
  • To ensure all cash is posted daily and monitor the unallocated cash
  • To resolve queries, send out copy invoices
  • To produce and distribute invoices, accurately and in a timely manner
  • To ensure new accounts are set up correctly and on time
  • Send out weekly debt letters
  • To ensure branches have completed queries to enable cash to be collected
  • To input invoices and credit notes onto the sales ledger
  • Posting and allocating of cash
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and branches
  • Send out statements
  • To take full responsible for part of the company ledger
  • To meet monthly targets
  • To forecast cash collection weekly and 3 months ahead
  • To ensure the team meet the cash collection targets
  • To ensure the team forecast correctly and as accurately as possible
  • Resolve problem accounts
  • Visit branches and clients as and when required
  • Any ad-hoc duties that may be required

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Profile:

  • Credit Controller
  • The ideal candidate would have at previously worked in a Credit Control or sales ledger dept with a 'hands-on' approach.
  • A good knowledge of Sales Ledgers and Credit Control.
  • The ability to communicate with all departments within the organisation.
  • The ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • The ability to lead and motivate staff
  • The ability to follow instructions and working practices.
  • The ability to liaise with all areas of the company to ensure queries are resolved.
  • The ability to communicate with clients.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to influence attitudes and opinions of others and gain agreement.
  • Ability to manage changing demands and prioritise workloads in accordance with business need.
  • Ability to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills displaying confidence, assertiveness, professionalism and persuasiveness.
  • Intermediate skills on excel and spreadsheets
