The business is seeking to appoint a Credit Controller. The Credit Controller will be responsible for carrying out all tasks associated with collection of debt and dealing with customer disputes.

  • Focus of this role will be to help increase collections/cash flow for the business
  • Maintain and develop credit risk activities
  • Be involved with continuous improvement of the debt collection process
  • Reporting and Analysing the collection performance within the team

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The Credit Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Taking of inbound calls to the credit control line
  • To meet or exceed KPI's concerning the volumes of outbound calls
  • Meet or exceed call quality requirements which are monitored monthly from both inbound and outbound calls
  • Meeting SLA's for both internal and external customers in respect of processes for customer disputes and collections processes where relevant
  • Produce and process collection letters
  • Use text messages and email as part of the collection cycle
  • Monitoring and updating reports daily and monthly
  • Dealing will all credit control correspondence
  • Arrange credit notes to be applied where necessary
  • Identify / follow up any potential issue with billing
  • Credit checking
  • Loading debt amounts onto prepayment meters

The Successful Applicant

Skills and Experience Required:

The successful applicant must have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience within a high volume, fast paced collections environment is an advantage
  • You must be a team player with strong personal organisation skills
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines
  • Able to communicate confidently at all levels
  • Can make decisions regarding collection activity independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Computer literate with experience of MS Office
  • Self-motivated and hardworking individual
  • Experience and professionalism is paramount
  • Enthusiastic, hands on individual seeking a challenging all-encompassing role
  • Utilities/Energy sector (desirable)
  • Legal knowledge (desirable)
