About Our Client

My client is based in Park Royal and is looking for a credit controller with strong excel skills to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Description


  • Credit Control:
  • Responsible for Corporate and Private accounts
  • Cash collection
  • Assisting with collection forecasts
  • Keeping the DSO to a minimum
  • Account reconciliations
  • Reporting:
  • Weekly update of Excel statements
  • Regular reporting to Credit Control Manager on own accounts status and progress
  • Database responsibility for own accounts
  • Keeping a record of all communications, with individual invoice notes for larger accounts
  • Query/dispute handling and escalation
  • Relationship building with both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Sales ledger
  • Cash posting and allocation, journals
  • Banking
  • Sending invoices and statements
  • Invoice batches (import of invoices from the sales system into the accounting system and opening of new accounts where necessary)
  • Updating receipts summary
  • Team work
  • Working with the team to ensure reaching of monthly cash targets
  • Assisting other members of the team and finance department as and when required.
  • Assisting the Billings Department to resolve queries, raise correct invoices and ensure systems are up-to-date
  • Identification of key areas for improvement
  • Reviewing and improving collection process to optimize cash collection performance
  • Cover during absence
  • Any ad-hoc requests by Credit Control Manager

The Successful Applicant


  • Experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in dealing with a blue chip client database
  • Proven experience in dealing with difficult accounts
  • Experience in multi-currency highly desirable
  • Some experience on private accounts would be an advantage
