Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Credit Control Manager in a strongly growing business based in our Basingstoke office. You will be responsible for Credit for Crown's UK operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Responsibility for recruiting, training and management of the Credit Control team
  • Pro-actively manage day to day credit control activities
  • Set and monitor customer credit limits
  • Credit check new customers and existing customers on a regular basis
  • Reduce exposure to bad debt risk
  • Meet collection and debtor targets
  • Manage the collection of overdue invoices up to and including legal proceedings if debts are not paid within an agreed time
  • Process receipts ensuring cash is allocated accurately and timely
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Ensure payment terms are correctly recorded and adhered to
  • Produce cash collection forecasts
  • Produce monthly reports and KPIs plus ad hoc reports as required
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met
  • Respond promptly and completely to both customer and internal enquiries
  • Regularly meet with all business teams (Sales, Billings & Customer Services) to ensure teams are operating in tandem and take ownership
  • Streamline the debt collection process to drive efficiencies and reduce manual admin
  • Review and develop internal controls, processes and procedures and drive compliance
  • Ensure processes are documented, kept to update and communicated to the business and Credit teams
  • Assist in the setting up and development of a credit control system

The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive experience in credit management

  • Experience of leading teams through change and an innovative thinker

  • Experience of handling queries and successful resolution of complex situations

  • Well organised with the ability to plan work load and work to deadlines

  • Strong relationship building and management skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

What's on Offer

Monday to Thursday - 09:00am to 5:30pm (with one hour unpaid lunch)

Friday - 09:00am to 5:00pm (with one hour unpaid lunch)
