About Our Client
Our Client is a fantastic developing automotive business based in Gainsborough, they have European offices and supply worldwide.
This role will report directly into the finance director and work alongside them.
The main duties of this role will be; Analysis of Bill of Materials at product level to explain variances to standard, analyses purchase price variance general ledger account, manages processes involving establishment of standard costs of new parts and review and analysis of standard costs for existing parts, prepares, reviews and distributes daily absorption report and compares with forecast and performs reporting activities throughout the month on margins, absorption, PPV and other metrics to ensure timing and accuracy of standards and gross margins.
This role will also involve preparing account reconciliations and performing monthly closing activities including preparation and approval of journal entries.
The Successful Applicant
- Worked in a similar role previously and hold a strong Costing background
- Ability to manipulate large volume of data using appropriate analysis tools and advanced excel skills
- Prior working knowledge of IFS or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
