My client is a large company based in Camberley.

Job Description

As the Cost Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the month end income statement and statement of financial position processes for cost accounting cost of goods (COGs) and inventory), ensuring they are accurate and complete reflecting the current position of the business, in accordance with accounting standards and group policies.
  • Leading the preparation of full and detailed monthly management accounts explaining all significant variances and exceptional items for COGs and inventory.
  • Ensuring intercompany stock movements are accounted for in an appropriate and timely manner, including proving information of transfer pricing in a centralised database.
  • Preparation of monthly inventory statement of financial position reconciliations, ready for appropriate review.
  • Support the preparation of a COGs forecast on a periodic basis.
  • Provide operational support to manufacturing and supply managers.
  • Support the preparation of the Manufacturing & Supply annual budget, ensuring that the budget reflects the underlying status of the business.
  • Lead as an Oracle Subject Matter Expert (SME) for COGs and inventory valuation.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for the role you must:

  • Be available for work on a contract basis
  • Have previously worked in cost accounting
  • Be a proficient user of MS Excel
  • Ideally be able to use Oracle
