Job Description

Working as part of the customer services team, this role has responsibility for processing claims and working closely with customers and internal / external suppliers to identify root cause and liability for parts concerns. You will manage the claims database, distribute claims to responsible sections for investigation and ensure where necessary the supplier understands and accepts liability for claims.

You will monitor and progress monetary claims with European suppliers and progress monetary claims to global customers through to closure and report on this to management. You will progress associated recovery payments with Finance.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English, however further education would be a distinct advantage
  • Preferably 2 years' experience in a monetary claims environment
  • Knowledge of production processes and monetary claims procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively on technical issues.
  • Must be fully computer literate as all systems are PC & mainframe based, proficient user of Microsoft Excel & Access as a minimum
  • Excellent communication, written & verbal skills
  • Good organisation, planning & negotiation skills
  • Foreign language skills would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, motivated and an effective team player
