Job Description

The role requires a proficient, reliable and pro-active team member to support the Legal & Business Affairs activity in the company. This position will join a team of 3 lawyers and a co-ordinator.

Experience in commercial environments is imperative, with a natural aptitude for the interactivity between the creative, commercial and corporate worlds. Responsibilities will include involvement in development, production, financing and distribution of scripted television programming, covering all aspects of the business including:

  • reviewing and summarising development, production, co-production, distribution, financing and tax incentive deals with all members of the team;
  • negotiating and drafting cast, crew and location deals liaising with the team and Production departments;
  • preparing residual and participation summaries with the team and Finance;
  • negotiating ancillary deals relating to the exploitation of stills, clips, digital media rights, publication rights, merchandising and licensing rights and soundtrack album rights with internal and external teams;
  • managing databases relating to budgets, dates tracking, rights tracking and project status reports

The Business Affairs Assistant role requires someone who:
