With numerous distribution sites opening up within the next 5 years our client is looking for outstanding logistics individuals to join their programme as an Assistant Team Manager.

Job Description

The role of Assistant Team Manager will manage a team of up to 40 operatives reporting in at any time within the Goods In, Selection and Transport departments, the responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Team Managers in leading your team in the everyday operations of your area of the Warehouse
  • Responsibility for recruitment, training and development of all Warehouse Operatives and their specific KPIs and set targets
  • Encouraging a pro-active approach to Health & Safety across the facility
  • Organising and conducting Warehouse Inventories

The Successful Applicant

  • Flexibility to relocate after an initial training period is an absolute necessity
  • Ability to lead a team and demonstrate the skills required to inspire, motivate and develop others
  • Have a clear KPI, results driven work history with the ability to work within challenging constraints
  • Able to manage day to day activities while providing ongoing long term planning assistance
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Analytical and strategic approach to work
  • An excellent organiser who can communicate confidently with people across all levels of the business

Salary = £31,000 - £32,000
