About Our Client

The client is under the NHS and is developing a large capital investment program. Based in South West London and surrounding areas this assistant project manager job will be an interim for a period of three months but does have the opportunity to be extended.

Job Description

  • To support the management of a range of projects for the regional management team.
  • To manage projects as delegated by the Regional Program manager as appropriate.
  • To ensure the smooth running and delivery of project outcomes, monitoring progress within given time frames.
  • To collect, collate and analyse project data, formulating detailed reports and present to a multi-disciplinary audience
  • Support the management of a range of regional projects led by the Regional Program Manager, which includes autonomously managing aspects of the projects e.g., determining time frames.
  • Manage projects as delegated by the Regional Program Manager as appropriate.
  • Monitor progress of projects and compile detailed reports.
  • Audit project outcomes, analyse results and provide reports utilising a range of IT applications.
  • Monitor and manage use of resources related to projects.
  • Prioritise workload to meet targets. Ensure that project leads within the regional team are alerted to quality or deadline issues.
  • Propose and implement changes to projects and ways of monitoring outcomes of project as required ensuring the success of the project.
  • Ensure that projects are managed in compliance with data protection & confidentiality.
  • Provide input to the development of policies and procedures and ensure implementation of agreed policies and procedures
  • Evaluate outcomes of projects, analyse results and formulate detailed reports.
  • Present results of projects to a range of audiences including senior managers.
  • Maintain any local databases and systems and ensure strict version control of documentation.
  • Utilise well developed communication and negotiation skills to ensure colleagues understand the project benefits and motivate them to deliver outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and training to local colleagues on the internal project management process as and when required.

The Successful Applicant

The assistant project manager will need to have worked within capital projects previously.

Project management qualifications are desirable.

NHS background is not essential but desirable

The assistant project manager will need strong computer skills and must be available to start January 4th.
